How to Get Help From Your Computer

Try the obvious first. Type help. If that doesn't work, try the Question Mark ? key.

On MPE, use the :Help command to find out what a command does, or what a file on your path is (i.e., program file or command file). Many contributed MPE programs and Nuggets can be :Run with the Help entry point.

On UNIX, use the man pages.

In Windows applications, use the F1 key or Alt-H.

In DOS, use the Help command or try the /? switch when you run a program.

    :help help
    :run magnet.pub.nuggets,help
    % man man
