Control Where Temp Sort Space is Allocated

By default, Suprtool typically puts the temporary space it needs on /var/tmp. If this volume runs out of space when sorting data you may receive an error similar to this:

Error:  Failure in ROBSORT'INPUT routine
ROBSORT'INPUT Error 12
Unable to write to the RSORTSCR file (length = 27657)
No space left on device


Error:  ROBSORT'END Failed
ROBSORT'END Error 19
File system error
Error 0

Sales & Admin and R & D offices will be closed Tuesday, July 1, 2008 for Canada Day holiday. The Support office will be open the regular hours on that day. Robelle will be closed Friday, July 4 for the US holiday. This includes Suppport, Sales & Admin and Research and Development.

Suprtool 5.1 Manuals

In preparation for the Suprtool 5.1 release, I have been editing The Suprtool 5.1 manual set. Part of this is attempting to improve the generation of the PDF and trying to sort out .chm (HTMLHelp files). CHM or HTMLHelp files have had a number of issues with the rendering of the information in the files with various versions of XP, IE and Vista.

Complicating this is the software we use to build the .chm files has been failing us and has not rendered some of the HTML properly.

I've investigated other packages and file formats and decided upon simply using .pdf files and .html files.

I have generated both formats for Suprtool for MPE and Suprtool for HP-UX manuals. Please take a look at the manuals and send any feedback to neil@robelle.com. The manuals can be viewed at: Suprtool for HP-UX/AMXW
